A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of THE fifteenth SENATORIAL DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $10,834,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated for fiscal year 2012-2013, for the purpose of capital improvement projects for the fifteenth senatorial district, as follows:
1. Aliamanu Elementary School
A. Design, construction, and equipment for expansion of the administration building; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances.

Total funding $3,500,000
2. Aliamanu Middle School
A. Design and construction for a physical education running surface; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances.

3. Moanalua Elementary School
A. Design, construction, and equipment for a technology center.
Design $150,000
Construction $1,970,000
Equipment $30,000
Total funding $2,150,000
4. Moanalua Middle School
A. Design and construction for air conditioning expansion in buildings B and F.
Design $200,000

Total funding $1,200,000
5. Moanalua High School
A. Design and construction of athletic field turf.

6. Salt Lake Elementary School
A. Interior renovation of classroom C-1. Construction of interior walls to form four individual classrooms. Included in this project is central air conditioning, electrical upgrades, classroom equipment, video and data connectivity.

7. Radford High School
A. Athletic track upgrade to eight lanes.

SECTION 2. The appropriations made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriations are made; provided that all moneys from the appropriations that are unencumbered as of June 30, 2014, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 3. The sums appropriated for the respective capital improvement projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the department of education for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2012.
