A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO WAGES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Section 387-4.5, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:

     "[[]§387-4.5[]]  Provisions of law may not be waived by agreement.  No provision of this chapter [may] shall in any way be contravened or set aside by private agreement."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
