A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE THIRD REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2011-2012:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Waiakeawaena elementary school, Hawaii
Design and construction of additional
parking on Kinoole street.
Construction $ 450,000
Total funding $ 450,000
B. Waiakea elementary school, Hawaii
Design and construction for
administration and library building.
Design $ 1,000
Construction 12,499,000
Total funding $12,500,000
C. Waiakea elementary school, Hawaii
Upgrade to the school's electrical
system.

Total funding $ 1,200,000
D. Waiakea elementary school, Hawaii
Design and construction for a covered
walkway to the school bus area.

E. Waiakea intermediate school, Hawaii
Science classroom renovation.

F. Waiakea intermediate school, Hawaii
Design and construction for a physical
education locker shower.

2. To be expended by the department of transportation:
Kupulau road extension, Hawaii
Plans, design, and construction to
reduce congestion of traffic on
Komohana street.
Plans, design $ 750,000

3. To be expended by the department of agriculture:
Railroad avenue, Hawaii
Clearing approximately one acre of
land for Keaukaha Pana'ewa Farmers
Association's farmers market.
Construction $ 3,500
Total funding $ 3,500
4. To be expended by the county of Hawaii:
Lama street and Mamaki street, Hawaii
Planning and designs for Panaewa water
system improvements to install fire
hydrants for Makalika street.
Plans, design $ 2,000,000
Total funding $ 2,000,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purpose of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2011.
