A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE twenty-seventh REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $23,412,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2011-2012 for the purpose of financing the capital improvement projects listed in this Act.
I. To be expended by the Department of Education:
A. Likelike Elementary School, Oahu
(1) Installation of air conditioning
Total Funding $3,500,000
(2) Electrical upgrade for the increased
use of technology in the classrooms.
Total Funding $465,000
(3) Parking lights and other security
improvements.
Total Funding $250,000
B. Maemae Elementary School, Oahu
(1) Installation of step nosing, non-skid
level surface.
Total Funding $50,000
C. Nuuanu Elementary School, Oahu
(1) Resurfacing of the open gym floor.
Total Funding $50,000
D. Kawananakoa Middle School, Oahu
(1) Planning and design of middle school
auditorium.
Total Funding $900,000
E. Mckinley High School, Oahu
(1) Renovation of building W, design only.
Total Funding $700,000
(2) Electrical upgrade.
Total Funding $997,000
(3) Electrical upgrade Phase 1 – F.
Total Funding $250,000
(4) Construction of a softball stadium.
Total Funding $2,500,000
F. Roosevelt High School, Oahu
(1) Development of Master Plan for
Roosevelt High School.

(2) Renovation and expansion of the gym.
