A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the forty-fourth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2012-2013 to be expended by the department of education:
A. Nanaikapono elementary school, Oahu
Landscape, re-seed, and install sprinkler system on upper elementary field.
Total funding $100,000
B. Nanaikapono elementary school, Oahu
Rubberized mats for upper elementary playground equipment.
Total funding $100,000
C. Nanaikapono elementary school, Oahu
Exterior painting of buildings.
Total funding $100,000
D. Nanaikapono elementary school, Oahu
Replace cement benches around campus.
Total funding $100,000
E. Waianae high school, Oahu
Merge the SP and T Building to create additional classrooms and media production area.
Total funding $3,000,000
F. Waianae high school, Oahu
Air conditioning for school rooms, cafeteria, and gym.
Total funding $1,000,000
G. Waianae high school, Oahu
New auditorium.
Total funding $1,000,000
H. Waianae high school, Oahu
Replace field scoreboard.
Total funding $1,000,000
I. Waianae high school, Oahu
Renovate gym restroom and lockers.

J. Waianae high school, Oahu
Public address system for gym.

K. Waianae high school, Oahu
New aluminum bleachers.

L. Ka Waihona o ka Naauao public charter school, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for a two-story classroom building.

M. Leeward community college, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for Waianae Education Center, Phase II.
Plans $50,000

Construction 4,900,000
Total funding $5,000,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2012.
