STATE OF HAWAII

A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE sixth REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2012-2013:

   1.  To be expended by the natural energy laboratory of Hawaii authority:

    A.  Queen Kaahumanu highway, Hawaii

        Design, environmental assessment, and construction of a frontage road to accommodate closure of entrance due to widening of Queen Kaahumanu highway.

        Design and environmental assessment       $500,000

        Construction                            $6,500,000

        Total funding                           $7,000,000

    2.  To be expended by the department of defense:

A. Kona airport, Hawaii

        Civil air patrol.
Renovation and expansion                  $665,000

          Total funding                             $665,000

    B.  Veteran's center, Hawaii

        Site selection and planning of a veteran's center, west Hawaii.

        Site selection and planning               $100,000

        Total funding                             $100,000

    3.  To be expended by the department of land and natural resources:

    A.  Honokohau marina and small boat harbor, Hawaii

          Design and construction of parking and drainage improvements.

          Design and construction                   $650,000

        Total funding                             $650,000

    4. To be expended by the department of health:

      A.  Lai Opua clinic, Hawaii

        Construction of a clinic.

        Construction                            $1,700,000

  Total funding                           $1,700,000

SECTION 2.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2012.
