The purpose of this decision making meeting is to insert substantive provisions into the following short form bill. A public hearing will be scheduled at a later date, at which point testimony will be accepted.

RELATING TO HEALTH. Proposed SD1: Amends the corporation board composition to change the membership from twelve to thirteen members; gives voting rights to the ex officio director of health member; replaces the five regional chief executive officer ex officio voting members with community members from the respective regional system board region; adds an at-large member appointed by the governor.

RELATING TO THE HAWAII HEALTH SYSTEMS CORPORATION. Proposed SD1: Authorizes the Hawaii health systems corporation to mortgage its real property and clarifies that the dollar cap on municipal leasing authority applies to each regional system.
