RELATING TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION. Supersedes language in public utilities commission docket no. 2008-0273 that would have required a seller of energy to submit a tax form that is not due and may not yet be prepared for several months.

RELATING TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION. Allows public utilities to make electronic filings with the public utilities commission.

RELATING TO INSURANCE. Adopts model regulations of National Association of Insurance Commissioners in conformity with senior investor protections in section 989A of the federal Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.

RELATING TO CAPTIVE INSURANCE COMPANIES. Expands the types of related entities that may be affiliated with and insured by a pure captive insurance company; clarifies exceptions available to various classes of captive insurance companies; makes housekeeping amendments.

RELATING TO INSURANCE. Exempts from insurance code, associations (1) organized before 1880; (2) whose members are active, retired, or honorably discharged members of the U.S. armed forces or sea services; and (3) whose principal purpose is to provide insurance and other benefits to their members.

· By Web: Testimony may be submitted online if less than 4MB in size, at http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/emailtestimony.
· In person: 1 copy of their testimony to the committee clerk, Room 230, State Capitol.
· By fax: Testimony may be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. When faxing, please indicate to which committee the testimony is being submitted and the date and time of the hearing.
Please note: If you submit your written testimony after 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the hearing, please sign-in at the staff table to testify orally. A copy of your testimony may not be available during the hearing but will be posted online for the public after the hearing.
