Requires bread products that have been baked and then frozen to be labeled "previously frozen".  Prohibits bread that has been frozen to be labeled or advertised as "fresh".

RELATING TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION.

Requires the PUC to consider the need to reduce the State's reliance on fossil fuels through energy efficiency.  Allows the PUC to take the consequences of importing fuel into consideration when making determinations about costs of capital improvements and operations.

RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Exempts third-party customer-generated renewable energy systems from the definition of public utility.  Directs the PUC to monitor the impact of net energy metering, including accounting of costs and benefits on electric utility ratepayers to minimize adverse impacts and to include information from both the utility and the renewable energy provider in the monitoring.  Effective July 1, 2011.  (HB1520 HD1)

Requires each hospital within the State to allow advanced practice registered nurses to practice within the full scope of the practice.

Status

RELATING TO INSURANCE RECORDS.

Exempts insurance producers from keeping records of insurance transactions for motor vehicle and homeowners' insurance contracts where records are customarily maintained in the offices of the insurer.

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:

·     The Committee the comments are directed to;

·     Measure number; and

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
