RELATING TO INSURANCE. Clarifies the laws relating to the interpretation of commercial liability insurance policies affecting construction professionals. Effective July 1, 2112. (HB924 HD1)

RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION. Prohibits motor carriers from being required to enter into agreements to hold harmless from claims or liability for the negligence, intentional acts, or intentional omissions persons entering into a transportation contract or agreement to use the services of, or permit entry onto their premises to a motor carrier.

RELATING TO INTOXICATING LIQUOR. Prohibits the sale or distribution of caffeinated beer beverages labeled as "pre-mixed drinks" in the State. (HB903 HD1)

RELATING TO INTOXICATING LIQUOR. Prohibits the sale or distribution of caffeinated beer beverages unless labeled as an "intoxicating liquor" and accompanied by a warning about potential harmful effects of consumption. (HB904 HD1)

The following measure has been added to the agenda.
RELATING TO SERVICE OF PROCESS. Repeals the sunset date of Act 158, Session Laws of Hawaii 2009, which required condominium associations, planned community associations, and cooperative housing corporations to establish an access policy for civil process servers.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW
Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:
· Testifier's name with position/title and organization;
· The Committee the comments are directed to;
· The date and time of the hearing;
· Measure number; and
· The number of copies the Committee is requesting.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns. This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
