HOUSE RESOLUTION

 

 

congratulating and recognizing the ‘EWA ALL-STARS team for winning the PONY Bronco Division World Series Championship.

 

 

 


     WHEREAS, the spirit of athletic competition is essential to the physical, mental, and emotional growth of our youth, instilling the virtues of perseverance, fellowship, and good sportsmanship into the character of Hawai‘i’s future leaders; and

 

     WHEREAS, the ‘EWA ALL-STAR BOYS BASEBALL TEAM, based in ‘Ewa Beach, has embodied this spirit by demonstrating great heart and determination in all of their games, displaying outstanding skill and team effort, and living up to the name “All-Stars”; and

 

     WHEREAS, due to the outstanding talents of team members: Justin Areola, Darren Gallano, Garrison Gamil, Kainoa Ganancial, Dorrien Hermosura, Jobe Ibana, Ian Kahaloa, Christian James (CJ) Laroco, Jake Mendoza, Gaston Palipti, Chevez (Rusty) Pascua, Bula Sprinkel, Chase Wago, and Hugh Yamashiro, the ‘EWA ALL-STARS proved through hard work, determination, and dedication that they can achieve excellence as a team and as individuals; and

 

     WHEREAS, under the leadership and guidance of Manager Randall Wago, Assistant Coaches Shag Hermosura, Dean Ibana, and Greg Palipti, the ‘EWA ALL-STARS brought great pride to Hawai‘i by winning the 2010 PONY Bronco Division World Series held in Monterey, California after defeating Miami by a score of 6-3; now, therefore,

 

     BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-sixth Legislature of the State of Hawai‘i, Regular Session of 2011, that this body hereby congratulates and recognizes the ‘EWA ALL-STARS team for winning the PONY Bronco Division World Series Championship, and extends to them its warmest aloha and best wishes for its continued success in all future endeavors.
