A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE TWENTY-FIRST REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be necessary to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2011-2012.
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Kaimuki middle school, Oahu
Complete renovation of building H music room
Construction $ 500,000
Total funding $ 500,000
B. Ala Wai elementary school, Oahu
Resurfacing play courts
lower and upper campus $ 50,000
Total funding $ 50,000
C. Ala Wai elementary school, Oahu
Cafeteria repaint complete interior
of kitchen $ 27,000
Total funding $ 27,000
D. Ala Wai elementary school, Oahu
Resurfacing parking lot and play area between
classroom and fence $ 300,000
Total funding $ 300,000
E. Ala Wai elementary school, Oahu
Campus-wide electrical upgrade for
Computers $1,000,000
Total funding $1,000,000
F. Ala Wai elementary school, Oahu
Electrical upgrade buildings C and B $ 400,000

G. Ala Wai elementary school, Oahu
Irrigation hose Bibbs upgrade $ 25,000

Electrical upgrade campus wide $ 600,000

Repair and install sprinkler systems $ 50,000

A. Kapahulu senior center, Oahu
Main building roof repair

B. Waikiki community center, Oahu
Replace gutters buildings A and E
Construction $ 35,000
Total funding $ 35,000
C. Waikiki community center, Oahu
Paint all buildings $ 80,000
Total funding $ 80,000
D. Waikiki community center, Oahu
Roof repair buildings A and E
Construction $ 125,000
Total funding $ 125,000
E. Waikiki community center, Oahu
New fire alarm system $ 140,000
Total funding $ 140,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital improvement projects shall be expended by the designated agencies for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2011.
