A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE forty-eighth representative DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2011-2012.
1. To be expended by the department of education
A. James B. Castle high school
Replace the lighting system and sound system in the Ronald Bright Auditorium.
Plans $ 20,000
Design $ 80,000
Construction $485,000
Total funding $585,000
B. Kaneohe elementary school
ADA transition plan and ground and site improvement.
Plans $ 30,000
Design $150,000
Construction $600,000
Total funding $780,000
C. Kaneohe elementary school
Audio-visual upgrades and acoustical treatment in the cafeteria.
Plans $ 20,000
Design $ 75,000
Construction $400,000
Equipment $ 75,000
Total funding $570,000
D. Kapunahala elementary school
Covered concrete walkways between buildings A and B and buildings B and C, and ground and site improvements.
Plans $ 10,000
Design $ 70,000
Construction $400,000
Total funding $480,000
E. Kapunahala elementary school
Mechanical lift to transport wheelchair-bound students from the ground floor to the second floor, and ground and site improvements.
Plans $ 5,000
Design $ 50,000
Construction $275,000
Total funding $330,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2011.
