AGENDA:
The purpose of this informational briefing is to provide a status update on the recent change in the Department of Human Services' (DHS) Child Care Subsidy Program.
This briefing will allow DHS representatives to present preliminary information on the implementation of the new sliding scale child care subsidy. Further, the briefing will also allow preschools and affected parents and community members the opportunity to share their thoughts on the subsidy reclassification.

The purpose of this informational briefing is to receive input on the Department of Human Services’ (DHS) efforts to streamline the Benefit, Employment and Support Services Division (BESSD), Med-Quest Division (MQD), and other functions of the department and address the impact that these changes may have on the State of Hawaii.

The Executive Director and/or Deputy Executive Director of HGEA and/or their designee; and
All former and current employees of the Department of Human Services (DHS); and
All providers of services; and
PHOCUSED; and
Any other individual or organization that may be impacted by these proposed changes.
