RELATING TO MILITARY SPECIAL NUMBER PLATES.

Authorizes the issuance of special number plates for female veterans.  Effective July 1, 2112.  (HB462 HD1)

Status

RELATING TO VETERANS.

Requires an applicant for a veteran's license plate to include a copy of the applicant's most recent discharge paper or separation document that indicates an honorable discharge or general (under honorable conditions) discharge from active duty.

Status

RELATING TO DRIVER LICENSING.

Requires the examiner of drivers to design and implement a system for allowing license applicants to voluntarily indicate their blood type on a driver's license.  Takes effect July 1, 2020.  (HB2080 HD1)

RELATING TO PARKING FOR DISABLED PERSONS.

To establish the Disability and Communication Access Board as the issuing agency that authorizes the issuance of removable windshield placards, temporary removable windshield placards, special license plates, and identification cards; to extend the validity of the placard from 4 to 6 years.  Effective July 1, 2020.  (HB2574 HD1)

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee the comments are directed to;

·     The date and time of the hearing;

·     Measure number; and

·     The number of copies the Committee is requesting. 

 

While every effort will be made to copy, organize, and collate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed to the incorrect office, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

FAX:       For comments less than 5 pages in length, transmit to 586-8469(for Oahu) or 1-800-535-3859 (for Neighbor Islanders without a computer to submit testimony through e-mail or the Web);

EMAIL: For comments less than 5 pages in length, transmit to TRNtestimony@Capitol.hawaii.gov ; or

WEB:     For comments less than 4MB in size, transmit from the Web page at http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/emailtestimony.

 

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
