The purpose of this informational briefing is to review the proposed reduction in services by the Department of Human Services (DHS) and ascertain the adverse impact the reduction may have on families, individuals, the disabled, the elderly, and DHS state workers.  Issues relating to Community Care Homes will also be discussed at this time.

 

Several issues concerning the following will also be discussed by the Committee on Housing: housing credit checks, housing waitlist focus shifts, housing rental late payment evictions, and housing poverty level discrimination.

 

 

The following individuals and/or organizations have been invited to participate:

 

The Executive Director and/or Deputy Executive Director of HGEA and/or their designee; and

 

The Department of Human Services (DHS); and

 

All former and current employees of the Department of Human Services (DHS); and

 

All providers of services; and

 

Any other individual and/or organization that is concerned about or affected by the possible impact of the reduction in services at the Department of Human Services (DHS), as well as the issues relating to housing.
