The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act, a component of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) authorizes $36 billion in outlays over the next six years—an unprecedented investment in the nation’s health information infrastructure.

 

The Hawaii Health Information Exchange, Incorporated (HHIE) is the State’s qualified state-designated entity to effectively coordinate health information exchange technology initiatives in Hawaii.  The following will be providing an overview of HHIE and current status of ARRA efforts in Hawaii:

 

   Ms. Christine Maii Sakuda, Executive Director, Hawaii Health Information Exchange

   Mr. Steve Robertson, President, Hawaii Health Information Exchange

   Other members of the Executive Committee of the Hawaii Health Information Exchange
