RELATING TO PRESCRIPTION DRUGS. Requires providers of accident or health and sickness insurance to base prescription drug coverage a drug formulary or prior authorization requirements established and regularly updated by a drug formulary advisory board whose membership includes a majority of Hawaii resident practitioners. Effective 7/1/50. (SD2)

RELATING TO PARKING FOR DISABLED PERSONS. Designates disability and communication access board as issuing agency for removable windshield placards, temporary removable windshield placards, special license plates, and identification cards. Deletes counties as issuing agency. Increases the time period that a placard is effective from 4 to 6 years. (SD2)

RELATING TO DENTISTRY. Redefines the practice of dentistry to include teeth whitening.

RELATING TO TELEMEDICINE. Clarifies telehealth as a practice of medicine. Amends liability insurance provisions to allow for telehealth coverage under medical malpractice insurance. Effective 7/1/50. (SD2)

RELATING TO THE DENTAL LICENSURE EXAMINATION. Provides the board of dental examiners to accept either the ADEX examination or the CRDTS examination for licensure. Eff. date July 1, 2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES. Makes Hawaii's controlled substance laws consistent with that of federal law and clarifies sections of chapter 329, Hawaii Revised Statutes relating to controlled substances. (SD2)

RELATING TO PHARMACIES. Requires all pharmacies and remote dispensing pharmacies to have the capacity to accommodate electronic prescriptions. Requires all pharmacies and dispensing pharmacies to maintain prescription records electronically. Effective 7/1/50. (SD2)

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW
Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns. This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
If during the course of the hearing it appears that there will not be sufficient time to allow everyone to be heard, the chairperson reserves the right to limit the remaining testifiers to three minutes. This three minute policy will be enforced to ensure fairness and adequate consideration to all bills.
