Status

RELATING TO LONG TERM CARE.

Delays interim and final reports of the long term care commission on the development of a 5-year plan and proposed system reforms from 2/28/2010 and 9/30/2010 to 1/1/2011 and 1/1/2012, respectively.  Extends term of commission to the adjournment sine die of the regular session of the 2012 legislature.

Status

RELATING TO HEALTH.

Establishes limits on requests for proposals from health and human services providers for QUEST contracts that exceed $100,000,000 and commence after the term of the agency director expires.

Status

RELATING TO HEALTH.

Exempting QUEST plans from paying interest under the clean claims act when delays are due to non-payment by government payers to QUEST plans.

HB 2090

Status

RELATING TO MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENTS.

Requires medicaid reimbursement to hospitals for patients occupying acute-licensed beds who are on a waitlist for long-term care to be at least equal to the rate paid for acute care services; requires medicaid reimbursement to long-term care facilities for patients with medically complex conditions to be at least equal to the rate paid for subacute care; appropriates funds for increased reimbursements.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee the comments are directed to;

·     The date and time of the hearing;

·     Measure number; and

·     The number of copies the Committee is requesting. 

 

While every effort will be made to copy, organize, and collate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed to the incorrect office, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.

 

If during the course of the hearing it appears that there will not be sufficient time to allow everyone to be heard, the chairperson reserves the right to limit the remaining testifiers to three minutes.  This three minute policy will be enforced to ensure fairness and adequate consideration to all bills.
