RELATING TO PRIVATE GUARDS. Establishes training, instruction, and continuing education requirements for guards and individuals acting in a guard capacity. Directs the board of private detectives and guard to make rules.

RELATING TO CONSTRUCTION SITES. Establishes a construction site inspection task force to be led by the department of commerce and consumer affairs to investigate and inspect construction sites for unlicensed contractors, illegal workers, and workplace safety violations.

RELATING TO CONTRACTORS. Requires the contractor license board to modify and consolidate the number of classifications or subclassifications into no more than classifications, by not later than January 1, 2011.

The following measure(s) were previously heard on 02/04/2010:
RELATING TO PRE-NEED FUNERAL PLANS. Requires the deposit into trust of one hundred per cent of all funds paid to purchase a pre-need funeral plan plus all interest earned. Allows a cemetery or pre-need authority to deduct certain allowable expenses from a trust. Requires annual statements of the disposition of trust funds.

RELATING TO THE FUNERAL INDUSTRY. Creates a standardized form for cemetery and pre-need funeral authorities' financial statements and actuarial reports. Ensures sufficient funds are available to cover future claims. Requires the department of commerce and consumer affairs to report to the legislature on the status of licensees required to submit audited financial statements and actuarial reports.

RELATING TO ATHLETIC TRAINERS. Requires athletic trainers to register with the department of commerce and consumer affairs.

RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS. Requires that the developer collect a percentage of the initial sales price of each residential apartment in a condominium project to be used to fund the project's estimated replacement reserve fund. Requires that notice of amendments to project documents be provided to owners, purchasers, and potential purchasers.
