STATE OF HAWAII

A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to the state boxing commission of hawaii.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Section 440-2, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:

"§440-2  Commission established.  There shall be a board which shall be known as the state boxing commission of Hawaii.  The commission shall consist of five members.  At least one of the members shall be a member of USA Boxing, Inc. and at least one of the members shall be a member of Golden Gloves of America, Inc.  One member shall be designated by the governor as chairperson of the commission."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2009.
