A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO THE STATE BUDGET.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Section 37-38, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:

     "§37-38  Allotment according to classification prescribed in appropriation.  Allotments shall be made according to the classifications of expenditures prescribed in the appropriation measure, as enacted by the legislature[, and]; provided that the funds allotted for each classification of expenditure shall not be used for [no] any other classification of expenditure."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
