A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to motor vehicle driver licensing.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Chapter 286, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to part VI to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§286-     Revoked licenses; records.  The examiner of drivers of each county shall maintain a record of all drivers whose license has been administratively or judicially revoked.  The examiner of drivers shall make this record available for public inspection, in accordance with chapter 92F.

     The director of transportation may adopt rules pursuant to chapter 91 necessary for the purposes of this section."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
