A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to Employer-union health benefits trust fund.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Chapter 87A, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§87A‑    Prescription drugs; opt out option.  Individual beneficiaries enrolled in a Hawaii employer-union health benefits trust fund health benefits plan shall be allowed to elect to opt out of a plan requirement that prescriptions be purchased by mail order, in which case prescriptions may be purchased from a retail pharmacy."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2010.
