A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to probate.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Section 560:1-201, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending the definition of "ward" to read as follows:     "Ward" [shall have] has the same meaning [provided in] as that term is defined in section 560:5-102."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
