A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the fifty-first representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2010-2011:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Kailua intermediate school, Oahu
Design and construction for the renovation of locker room/shower facilities.
Design $80,000
Construction $1,420,000
Total funding $1,500,000
B. Kailua intermediate school, Oahu
Design and construction for electrical upgrade.
Design $91,000
Construction $825,000
Total funding $916,000
C. Blanche Pope elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction for electrical upgrades to building A.
Design $20,000
Construction $120,000
Total funding $140,000
D. Enchanted Lake elementary school, Oahu
Construction for covered walkways adjacent to the library and administrative K-1 building.
Construction $45,000
Total funding $45,000
E. Enchanted Lake elementary school, Oahu
Construction for school-wide electricity upgrades.
Construction $100,000
Total funding $100,000
F. Lanikai elementary school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for new administration building.
Design $880,000
Construction $6,900,000
Equipment $20,000
Total funding $7,800,000
G. Lanikai elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction for air conditioning and related work.

Construction $3,150,000

H. Lanikai elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction for ADA transition.

I. Lanikai elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction for bathroom facilities for portable classroom.

2. To be expended by the department of transportation:
A. Kalanianaole highway, Oahu
Construction for safety guardrail on Kalanianaole
highway and Nakini street.
Construction $40,000
Total funding $40,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2010.
