A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the fourteenth, fifteenth, and sixteenth representative districts.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2010-2011:

     1.  To be expended by the department of education:

     A.   Waimea high school, Kauai

          Design, construction, and equipment for expansion of junior varsity and varsity locker rooms and athletic storage facility.

          Design                                  $500,000

          Construction                          $5,475,000

          Equipment                                $25,000

          Total funding                         $6,000,000

     2.  To be expended by the department of land and natural resources:

     A.   Mana Drag Strip racetrack, Kauai

          Plans, design, and construction to resurface and renovate asphalt surface; ground and site improvements.

          Plans                                     $2,000

          Design                                   $68,000

          Construction                            $300,000

          Total funding                           $370,000

     B.   Nawiliwili small boat harbor, Kauai

          Construction for a new district office to replace current office trailer.

          Construction                            $300,000

          Total funding                           $300,000

     3.  To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

     A.   Kekaha Black Pipe siphon and pali flume, Kauai

          Plans, design, and construction for Kekaha Black Pipe siphon and pali flume.

          Plans                                   $100,000

          Design                                  $300,000

          Construction                          $1,500,000

          Total funding                         $1,900,000

     SECTION 2.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2010.
