A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the tenth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2010-2011.
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Lahainaluna high school, Maui
Football field erosion control.
Total Funding $ 550,000
Renovate restrooms in S building.
Total Funding $ 270,000
B. King Kamehameha III elementary school, Maui
Reroofing.
Total Funding $ 50,000
Replace windows and window sills in H building.
Total Funding $ 160,000
C. Lahaina intermediate school, Maui
Replace sidewalks on campus.
Total Funding $ 85,000
Renovate restrooms.
Total Funding $ 40,000
D. Nahienaena elementary school, Maui
Replace cabinet and sink.
Total Funding $ 15,000
Replace flooring.
Total Funding $ 45,000
2. To be expended by the department of transportation:
A. Honoapiilani highway, realignment phase IB1, Lahainaluna road to vicinity of Launiupoko (Hokiokio place).
Total Funding $ 55,700,000
B. Honoapiilani highway, safety improvements at Kaanapali parkway and Halelo street.
Total Funding $ 200,000
C. Honoapiilani highway, shoreline improvements, vicinity of Olowalu.
Total Funding $ 2,400,000
D. Honoapiilani highway, left-turn lane, Maalaea.
Total Funding $ 960,000
E. Honoapiilani highway, shoreline protection at Launiupoko.
Total Funding $ 2,800,000
F. North Kihei road, left-turn lane at Maui Electric Company plant.
Total Funding $ 690,000
3. To be expended by the department of land and natural resources:
A. Mala boat launching ramp, Maui
Design of improvements and repairs to the boat launching ramp and related work.
Design $ 200,000
Total Funding $ 200,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2010.
