A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to revenues from the leasing of state waters.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Section 190D-33, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:

     "§190D-33  Revenues.  The revenues obtained from the leasing of state marine waters pursuant to this chapter shall be deposited into the [special land and development fund to be used for planning, research, and development of the aquaculture industry;] general fund; provided that the portion of revenues subject to chapter 10, shall be deposited into the public land trust fund as provided by law."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2010.
