A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE INTERMEDIATE APPELLATE COURT.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Act 148, Session Laws of Hawaii 2008, is amended by amending section 4 to read as follows:

     "SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval [and shall be repealed on June 30, 2010]."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on June 29, 2010.

Intermediate Court of Appeals; Subpoenas; Oaths

 

Description:

Makes permanent the intermediate appellate court judges' express authority to subpoena witnesses, compel the production of evidence, and administer oaths.  (HB1992 CD1)
