A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to elections.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Section 11-198, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (c) to read as follows:

     "(c)  Only the campaign treasurer and deputy campaign treasurers [shall be], if any, are authorized to receive contributions or [make expenditures] expend campaign funds on behalf of the appointing candidate, committee, or party."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
