A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to unfair and deceptive practices.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 481B, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§481B- Public events; promotional materials and tickets. Any business or person engaged in providing locations for public events such as live performances, entertainment, games, contests, or any other public exhibitions shall include on all promotional materials and tickets for the event the name and contact information of the promoter of the event.
Any violation of this section shall constitute an unfair or deceptive act or practice in the conduct of trade or commerce within the meaning of section 480-2."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
