A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FORTIETH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2009-2010:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Barbers Point elementary school, Oahu
Construction to replace electrical system.
Construction $1,000,000
Total funding $1,000,000
B. Barbers Point elementary school, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for traffic resisting posts along playground fence on main road.
Plans $ 1,000
Design 1,000
Construction 24,000
Total funding $ 26,000
C. Kapolei middle school, Oahu
Construction for extension of firelane.
Construction $2,000,000
Total funding $2,000,000
D. Makakilo elementary school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for special education portable building.
Design $ 30,000
Equipment 1,000
Construction 344,000
Total funding $ 375,000
E. Makakilo elementary school, Oahu
Construction for playground on lower campus.
Construction $ 150,000
Total funding $ 150,000
F. Mauka Lani elementary school, Oahu
Construction for firelane and road widening for emergency vehicle access to campus.
Construction $ 150,000
Total funding $ 150,000
2. To be expended by Easter Seals of Hawaii:
A. Easter Seals Hawaii, Oahu
Construction for parking lot and access road to Easter Seals facility.
Construction $ 275,000
Total funding $ 275,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2009.
