A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the twenty-third representative district.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2010-2011:

     1.   To be expended by the department of land and natural resources:

     A.   Ala Wai small boat harbor, Oahu

          Construction for improvements to B, C, and D floating decks.

     Construction                          $3,000,000

     Total funding                         $3,000,000

     B.   Ala Wai small boat harbor, Oahu

          Construction for improvements to 700 rows.

     Construction                          $1,000,000

     Total funding                         $1,000,000

     C.   Kewalo basin, Oahu

          Construction for miscellaneous bike path improvements.

     Construction                             $40,000

     Total funding                            $40,000

     D.   Waikiki sea wall, Oahu

     Construction for improvements to the Waikiki sea wall.

     Construction                          $1,910,000

     Total funding                        $1,910,000

     E.   Diamond Head monument visitor center, Oahu

          Design of the Diamond Head monument visitor center.

     Design                                $2,500,000

     Total funding                         $2,500,000

     2.   To be expended by the department of education:

A.   Thomas Jefferson elementary school, Oahu

     Construction for restroom renovations for building O.

     Construction                            $100,000

     Total funding                           $100,000

     B.   Thomas Jefferson elementary school, Oahu

          Construction for electrical system upgrades for building R.

     Construction                            $100,000

     Total funding                           $100,000

     C.   Thomas Jefferson elementary school, Oahu

     Construction for re-roofing for building H.

     Construction                            $100,000

     Total funding                           $100,000

     D.   Thomas Jefferson elementary school, Oahu

          Construction for resurfacing of parking lot in front of school along Kapahulu avenue.

     Construction                            $100,000

     Total funding                           $100,000

     E.   Ala Wai elementary school, Oahu

          Construction for campus drainage improvements.

     Construction                            $150,000

     Total funding                           $150,000

     F.   Waikiki elementary school, Oahu

          Construction for installation of the central public address system.

     Construction                              $5,000

     Total funding                             $5,000

     G.   Waikiki elementary school, Oahu

          Construction for installation of fence for kindergarten area.

     Construction                              $9,000

     Total funding                             $9,000

     H.   Waikiki elementary school, Oahu

          Construction for installation of security lights.

     Construction                              $3,000

     Total funding                             $3,000

     3.   To be expended by the department of accounting and   general services:

     A.   Waikiki community center, Oahu

          Construction for installation of safety padding for preschool playground.

     Construction                            $150,000

     Total funding                           $150,000

     B.   Waikiki community center, Oahu

          Construction for roof repair of buildings A and E.

     Construction                            $100,000

     Total funding                           $100,000

     C.   Waikiki community center, Oahu

          Construction for replacing gutters in buildings A and     E.

     Construction                             $30,000

     Total funding                            $30,000

     D.   Waikiki community center, Oahu

          Construction for painting all buildings

     Construction                             $70,000

 

          Total funding                            $70,000

     SECTION 2.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2010.
