A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvements pertaining to health.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2010-2011:

A. Hilo medical center, Hawaii
New long-term care facility. $80,000,000
Clinical documentation. $8,000,000
Air conditioning upgrade. $6,888,000
Total funding $94,888,000
B. Hale Ho'ola Hamakua, Hawaii
New nurse call system. $639,000
Upgrades to facility, repair and
repainting of cottages and hospital
interior, and air conditioning vent
replacement. $850,000
Retrocommissioning and energy audit. $75,000

C. Kau hospital, Hawaii Plumbing upgrade. $1,978,000

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated in section 1 of this Act shall be expended by the Hawaii health systems corporation for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2010.
