A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the twenty-ninth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2010-2011:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Farrington high school, Oahu
Plans and design for a master plan to guide the campus modernization project.
Plans $1,000,000
Design $2,000,000
Total funding $3,000,000
B. Kalihi-Kai elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction to replace program bells.
Design $10,000
Construction $80,000
Total funding $90,000
C. King David Kalakaua middle school, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for an eight classroom building with adjacent staff parking lot.
Plans $1,000
Design $1,000
Construction $9,998,000
Total funding $10,000,000
D. King David Kalakaua middle school, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for a combination gymnasium and auditorium with office space.
Plans $1,000
Design $1,000
Construction $29,998,000
Total funding $30,000,000
E. Linapuni elementary school, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction to provide ADA accessibility to various areas of campus.
Plans $25,000
Design $50,000
Construction $300,000
Total funding $375,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2010.
