A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE TWENTY-FOURTH Representative DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2010-2011.
To be expended by the department of education:
A. Manoa elementary school, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for campus-wide electrical service evaluation and electrical panel and circuitry upgrade.

Design 40,000
Construction 340,000
Total funding $390,000
B. Noelani elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction for library improvements to enlarge library collection and work space and provide a technology/media center.
Design $ 50,000
Construction 450,000
Total funding $500,000
C. Roosevelt high school, Oahu
Plans for a comprehensive update of the school campus master plan.
Plans $250,000
Total funding $250,000
Plans, design, and construction for renovation and expansion of the gymnasium to include new health and fitness classrooms, locker rooms, and shower facilities.
Plans $ 100,000
Design 200,000
Construction 5,000,000
Total funding $5,300,000
D. Stevenson middle school, Oahu
Plans, design, construction, and equipment for an addition to building A or a stand-alone building for multipurpose educational facilities and relocation of the administrative and support offices and renovation of the existing administrative services space for classroom use.

Equipment 50,000
Total funding $7,750,000
Plans, design, and construction for a multipurpose recreational facility including classrooms, gymnasium, locker rooms, band room, and meeting space.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2010.
