A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to public order.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Act 84, Session Laws of Hawaii 2004, as amended by Act 77, Session Laws of Hawaii 2008, section 1, is amended by amending section 5 to read as follows:

     "SECTION 5.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval and shall be repealed on December 31, [2012.] 2014."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on December 21, 2058.

Public Order; Public Urination and Defecation

Description:

Changes the sunset date to December 31, 2014 on the prohibition against urinating or defecating in public within the boundaries of downtown Honolulu.  Effective December 21, 2058.  (HB1862 HD1)
