RELATING TO LOW-FLUSH TOILET. Requires the installation of low-flush toilets in all new buildings on or after 7/1/10.

RELATING TO STATE SMALL BOAT HARBORS. Clarifies that commercial fishing operations can transfer ownership without losing necessary permits and without a transfer fee being imposed.

RELATING TO LABELING OF MEAT AND FISH PRODUCTS. Requires truthful labeling of meat and fish that has been gas‑treated.

RELATING TO AGRICULTURE. Establishes an organic agriculture task force under the direction of department of agriculture to develop a business plan for a Hawaii organic food center; makes an appropriation to the task force to carry out its purposes.

RELATING TO AGRICULTURE. Provides for fair compensation, including an automatic lease extension, when leased public land for agricultural or pastoral uses is withdrawn, condemned, or taken for public purposes.

RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS. Amends the law to provide for the office of Hawaiian affairs to receive a portion of the income and proceeds from land in the public land trust.

· By Web: Testimony may be submitted online if less than 4MB in size, at http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/emailtestimony.
· By Email: Testimony may be emailed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Committee at WTLTestimony@Capitol.hawaii.gov . Please indicate the measure, date and time of the hearing. Email sent to individual offices or any other Senate office will not be accepted.
Please note: If you submit your written testimony after 3:30 p.m. the day prior to the hearing, please sign-in at the staff table to testify orally. A copy of your testimony may not be available during the hearing but will be posted online for the public after the hearing.
