Status

RELATING TO REMNANT LANDS.

Repeals the consolidation and use requirements for the sale of a state land remnant, and requires the proceeds from the sale of a state land remnant to be deposited into the Land Conservation Fund.

RELATING TO WEST OAHU.

Requires the Office of Planning to review the City & County of Honolulu's revised Ewa Development Plan to ensure the infrastructural needs of the rapidly developing area are adequately met.

Directs Department of Land and Natural Resources to determine ownership of certain rights of way in Honolulu, Hawaii.

RELATING TO SMALL BOAT HARBORS.

Prohibits the DLNR from denying a moorage permit for any uses of a small boat harbor in a county with a population of less than 250,000 to a vessel owner that is a business entity.

RELATING TO COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT.

Increases the threshold amount between special management area minor permits and special management area permits.

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee the comments are directed to;

·     The date and time of the hearing;

·     Measure number; and

·     The number of copies the Committee is requesting. 

 

While every effort will be made to copy, organize, and collate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed to the incorrect office, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
