The purpose of this joint legislative informational briefing is to update the Senate Committee on Health and Senate Committee on Labor by providing:

 

-               An overview of the financial and operational challenges that Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC) faces in the provision and sustainability of quality, accessible and affordable healthcare to communities across the State of Hawaii.

 

-               Update on current status by region

 

-               Discuss six bills proposed by HHSC for the 2009 Legislative Session
