Beginning 01/01/2010, requires the University of Hawaii to report semi-annually on the moneys in the Hawaii cancer research special fund, including deposits, expenditures, and other transactions.

Appropriates funds to support the Hawaii Quentin Burdick rural health interdisciplinary training program. (SD1)

RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

Authorizes the University of Hawaii board of regents to issue revenue bonds to finance the costs of construction or maintenance of capital improvement projects; appropriates moneys from the revenue bond proceeds for fiscal year 2008-09 and fiscal year 2009-10, with unexpended and unencumbered balances to lapse to the general fund on June 30, 2013 and June 30, 2015, respectively.  (SD2)

RELATING TO AQUATIC RESOURCES.

Exempts UH from permitting or application requirements when carrying out repair and maintenance relating to the Hawaii marine laboratory refuge.  (SD1)

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee the comments are directed to;

·     The date and time of the hearing;

·     Measure number; and

·     The number of copies the Committee is requesting. 

 

While every effort will be made to copy, organize, and collate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed to the incorrect office, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
