HOUSE CONCURRENT

RESOLUTION

 

 

RELATING TO RECESS AND SESSION DAYS OF THE REGULAR SESSION OF 2009.

 

 


     WHEREAS, Section 10, Article III of the Constitution of the State of Hawaii provides that any session may be recessed by concurrent resolution adopted by a majority of the members to which each house is entitled; and

 

     WHEREAS, H.C.R. No. 1, adopted by the House of Representatives and Senate during the Regular Session of 2009, among other things, established May 6, 2009, as a recess day of the Regular Session of 2009; and

 

     WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 10, Article III of the Constitution of the State of Hawaii, by proclamation adopted on May 1, 2009, and at the written request of two-thirds of the members to which each house is entitled, the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives have extended the Regular Session of 2009 to sixty-two session days; now, therefore,

 

     BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-fifth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2009, the Senate concurring, that, notwithstanding H.C.R. No. 1, May 6, 2009, shall be a session day; and

 

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as amended by this Concurrent Resolution, all days of recess, including the dates of the mandatory recess, as set forth in H.C.R. No. 1, adopted by the House of Representatives and Senate of the Twenty-Fifth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2009, shall remain in full force and effect.
