A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the thirty-seventh district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Mililani and Waipio Gentry's thirty-seventh representative district encompasses the new and expanding area of Waipio Gentry and the oldest areas of Mililani. Schools within the thirty-seventh representative district have many issues, including repair and maintenance, traffic congestion, land erosion, as well as facilities that are outdated and in need of restoration.
The Mililani Uka elementary school area experiences frequent brushfires and with each fire, vegetation is destroyed and thus exposes its slope adjacent to Kamehameha highway to direct storm run off. This surface run off is the direct cause of the school's land erosion.
