RELATING TO BIOPROSPECTING. Proposed SD1: Establishes a permanent bioprospecting advisory commission to address issues relating to bioprospecting. Appropriates funds for commission to fulfill its mandate.

RELATING TO MAKUA. Establishes a Makua reserve commission to oversee preservation and restoration activities in Makua valley on Oahu.

RELATING TO THE LAND CONSERVATION FUND. Allows public and private moneys to be deposited into the Land Conservation Fund (Fund) and distributed as grants for acquisition of land having value as a resource to the State, and allows moneys from the Fund to be used for the operation, maintenance, and management of the acquired lands.

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF LAND AND NATURAL RESOURCES FOR AKULE FISH MONITORING. Makes an appropriation to the department of land and natural resources for the purpose of monitoring akule fish from Pearl Harbor to Ka‘ena Point.

RELATING TO THE WAIANAE COAST. Amends Act 6, SLH Special Session 2005, to require an interim report on the baseline environmental study to be submitted to the 2008 legislature and the final report to the 2009 legislature; appropriates moneys to DLNR for continuing preparation of the study.

RELATING TO BOATING FACILITIES AT KEEHI LAGOON. Appropriates funds for boat repair facilities at Keehi Lagoon.
