There will be a hearing on the Proposed SD2 of the following measure: |

RELATING TO WATER. Establishes a special fund for the Moloka`i irrigation water system on Moloka`i and creates a water user board to oversee the fund. Eff. 7/1/2050. (Proposed SD2)

RELATING TO EDUCATION. Extends the deadline within which to file a request for a due process hearing relating to the education of a child with a disability from ninety days to one hundred and eighty calendar days when the request is for reimbursement of costs of a child's placement. (SD1)

RELATING TO ADVANCED FLIGHT SIMULATOR TRAINING. Adds businesses engaged in advanced flight simulator training for pilots, dispatchers, mechanics, or air traffic controllers to the definition of "qualified business" under the state enterprise zone law. (SD1)

RELATING TO THE ORGAN DONOR REGISTRY. Establishes a statewide organ donor registry.

RELATING TO ESTABLISHING A GLOBAL YOUTH CENTER. Establishes a global youth center under the University of Hawaii.

RELATING TO LAND ACQUISITION. Authorizes the department of land and natural resources to acquire lands owned by the Galbraith Estate in central Oahu; Appropriates funds for the acquisition of land in Wahiawa, Oahu, currently owned by the George Galbraith Estate. (SD1)

RELATING TO EDUCATION. Establishes a task force within the University of Hawaii to conduct an analysis into the creation of a comprehensive school recycling program; makes appropriation. (SD1)

RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII CENTER ON AGING EDUCATION AND RESEARCH. Appropriates funds to the University of Hawaii center on aging research and education for faculty positions and program expenses. (SD1)

RELATING TO AEROSPACE DEVELOPMENT. Appropriates funds for the continuing operations of the Pacific international space center for exploration systems.

RELATING TO ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSE TAX. Increases the state environmental response tax on petroleum in order to increase funding available for energy conservation, alternative energy development, global warming initiatives, and other programs pursuant to chapter 128D, HRS. (SD2)

RELATING TO MEDICAID PRESUMPTIVE ELIGIBILITY. Requires the department of human services to provide presumptive eligibility to medicaid or QUEST eligible waitlisted patients. (SD2)
