Requires a delegation of procurement authority in writing and filed with the administrator of the state procurement office.  Makes designee answerable to administrator where the designee is in a position subordinate to the chief procurement officer.  Applicable to procurement over certain dollar amount.

RELATING TO PUBLIC PROCUREMENT.

Establishes procedures and criteria and appropriates funds to prevent state or county purchases from businesses that operate sweatshops.

Requires that moneys received pursuant to a solicitation of funds by a government body to cover costs and expenses of state-sponsored trips and endeavors to generate business opportunities and goodwill be deposited into the general fund and disbursed pursuant to legislative appropriation.  Appropriates funds.

RELATING TO PUBLIC RESTROOMS.

Provides funding to ensure that public restrooms are consistently well maintained.  Appropriation.

·         By Email:  Testimony may be emailed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Legislature's Public Access Room at testimony@capitol.hawaii.gov.  Please indicate to which committee the testimony is being submitted and the date and time of the hearing. Email sent to individual offices or any other Senate office will not be accepted.

 

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign or foreign language interpreter or wheelchair accessibility), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
