RELATING TO UNATTENDED CHILDREN IN MOTOR VEHICLES. Makes it a violation of the statewide traffic code to leave a child unattended in a motor vehicle. Effective on approval. Requires the examiner of drivers to test driver's license applicants for knowledge of this offense. Requires notice of law in rental cars. (HB2034 HD1)

RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES. Provides certain vehicle identification exemptions required when shipping a motor vehicle between islands for interisland ferry service providers.

RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION. Prohibits parking of motor vehicles on bicycle lanes or bicycle paths. Assesses up to $500 fine per violation. (HB3249 HD1)

RELATING TO CONDITIONAL LICENSE PERMITS. Allows conditional license permit for a person's medical needs and caregiving. Clarifies when a conditional license permit is permissible for certain commercial drivers.

· By Email: Testimony may be emailed if less than 5 pages in length, to testimony@capitol.hawaii.gov. Please indicate to which committee the testimony is being submitted and the date and time of the hearing. Email sent to individual offices or any other Senate office will not be accepted.
