Amends §444-10.5, HRS, to prohibit the resumption of work for any person who is issued a citation for operating without a contractor's license in good standing until a hearing is conducted, and makes the issuance of citations and cease and desist orders mandatory.  (SD2)

RELATING TO DIGITAL MEDIA.

Prohibits taxpayers from claiming the Motion Picture, Digital Media, and Film Production Tax Credit for qualified productions that are financed by investments for which a credit has been claimed under the High Technology Business Investment Tax Credit. Establishes an advisory group to study issues in hiring local talent for the film industry, with specific consideration for promoting local hiring.  (SB2273 HD1)

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee the comments are directed to;

·     The date and time of the hearing;

·     Measure number; and

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
