RELATING TO DRIVER LICENSES. Permits the examiner of drivers to waive the test of knowledge of the rules of the road for applicants holding a valid driver's license from another state of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, a province of the Dominion of Canada, or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVER'S LICENSE. Adjusts the length of time a person's license will remain valid based on their age and provides that military personnel whose driver's license has expired while on active duty outside of the country will be authorized to drive for 90 days upon their return to the United States. RELATING TO SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. Stipulates that only the last four digits of an individual's social security number shall be listed on judgments, orders, or decrees endorsed and recorded in the bureau of conveyances or land court. Effective 1/1/50. (SB3092 SD1)

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW
Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:
· Testifier's name with position/title and organization;
· The Committee the comments are directed to;
· The date and time of the hearing;
· Measure number; and
· The number of copies the Committee is requesting.
While every effort will be made to copy, organize, and collate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed to the incorrect office, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns. This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids and/or services to participate in the House public hearing process (i.e., sign or foreign language interpreter or wheelchair accessibility), please contact the Committee Clerk at 586-9450 or email your request for an interpreter to HouseInterpreter@Capitol.hawaii.gov at least 24 hours prior to the hearing for arrangements.
